You don’t have to do this alone…

Writing is both an art and a practice. But too often, self-doubt, perfectionism, and overwhelm get in the way of creative momentum. That’s where The Writing Well Framework comes in.

This three-step coaching process is designed to guide you from stuck to steady progress—giving you the strategy, support, and accountability to finally make meaningful progress on your writing goals.

Whether you're working on a book, a proposal, a newsletter, or simply trying to build a sustainable writing practice, this framework will help you:

  • Gain clarity on your voice and vision

  • Build confidence in your craft

  • Create consistency in your writing routine

How it Works

  • Get clear on your vision, goals, and next steps.

The biggest hurdle in writing isn’t the words—it’s the uncertainty that holds us back. In this phase, we’ll focus on:

    • Defining your writing project & goals

    • Identifying roadblocks (perfectionism, fear, self-doubt)

    • Mapping out a strategy to get you moving forward

By the end of this session, you’ll have:

    • A clear, customized writing roadmap

    • Defined milestones to keep you on track

    • A deeper understanding of what’s been keeping you stuck—and how to move past it

  • Strengthen your craft and build a writing habit that lasts.

Now that you have a clear roadmap, it’s time to dive into the work. This phase is all about:

    • Developing a writing rhythm that works for you

    • Refining your structure, storytelling, and voice

    • Creating accountability so you actually finish what you start

By the end of this session, you’ll have:

    • A solid writing routine tailored to your goals and lifestyle

    • Craft-focused feedback to help strengthen your work

    • A plan for sustaining momentum—even on the tough days

  • Refine your work, push past fear, and keep the momentum going.

This is where we make sure your progress doesn’t stop when coaching ends. Here, we focus on:

    • Troubleshooting challenges & self-doubt

    • Refining your project, voice, or platform strategy

    • Setting up sustainable habits to keep your words flowing

By the end of this session, you’ll have:

    • A clear action plan for your next steps

    • The confidence to move forward—whether that’s pitching, publishing, or simply keeping up with your writing practice

    • Access to ongoing support via Voxer coaching + The Writing Well community

What You’ll Get

Who This is For

  • Writers who are stuck in perfectionism or overwhelm

  • Aspiring authors trying to bring a book or proposal to life

  • Thought leaders who want to write more, but need structure and support

  • Anyone who’s ready to commit to their craft—and get those words flowing

  • I wouldn’t have finished my book proposal without L’Oreal’s guidance, transparency, and spirited pep talks. Through her writing workshops and book proposal coaching, she offered in-depth insight into the process that you won’t find in a Google search. In addition, the tips, tools, and resources she provided not only made me feel comfortable tackling something as daunting as a book proposal, but confident enough to send it out to agents once it was completed. Of course, L'Oreal’s bubbly personality and passion for helping others creates such an inviting space that you leave her workshops feeling educated and empowered. I can’t recommend booking a session with her enough!

  • I entered L'Oreal's nonfiction book proposal course knowing very little (nothing) about nonfiction book proposals, but wanting very badly to find out. Having studied journalism in college, I know a lot about how to write news articles, but not so much about writing books. L'Oreal's class fell into my lap (inbox) at the right time, as I've been becoming more and more interested in writing a book but not sure where/how to start. I appreciated how openly L'Oreal talked about her experiences in book writing and book proposal writing, and how enthusiastic she was to listen to our ideas and answer our questions. I came out of the class feeling more determined to write my book and less scared of the proposal process.

  • I was lost when it came to landing a byline in a top publication like The Cut. When I had a consultation call with L'Oreal, she helped me understand the current state of publishing, the difference between feature pieces or content writing, how to formulate a good pitch with a template, and helped me shift from the mindset of hoping to be in certain publications to approaching them with valuable stories. In one hour, she helped me get clear, organized, and confident. L'Oreal is so warm, friendly, and such a giver. She shared so much wisdom with me and truly wants me to succeed. I would absolutely work with her again and highly recommend her strategic advice to anyone considering working with her!

Hi, I’m L’Oreal! 👋🏾

I’m an author, writing coach, and recovering perfectionist.

I’ve spent nearly 20 years as a journalist and editor with bylines in Essence, SELF, Fortune, and more. My debut book, Stop Waiting for Perfect, became a #1 new release on Amazon. I've coached dozens of writers through book proposals, newsletters, essays, and personal storytelling—and now, I want to support you.

I believe writing doesn’t have to feel like a struggle. With the right structure, support, and a little (okay, a LOT of) self-compassion, you can write with clarity, consistency, and confidence.

If you're ready to take your writing seriously—and want a coach who gets it and gets you—I’d be honored to be in your corner. Let’s get those words out of your head and onto the page.
